The tubers are from plants that grew in 2023 and produced tubers, but the plants never bloomed, so I could not verify that they are what they are labeled to be. Some were new tubers purchased during the 2023 season. Because of problems getting plants into the garden on time last summer and a crippling five weeks of drought, many plants just stopped growing above the ground but apparently directed all of the plant's energy into tuber production. Purchasing these tubers incurs a risk that the tuber may not in fact be what it is labeled. For this reason, the price per tuber is reduced.
